Unveiling a Unique Steam Game Trial: Playing as a Turdy Character in a Mission to Arrive at the Toilet

Steam Next Fest is currently underway, and players have encountered plenty of entertaining indie games. But, one catches the eye for its offbeat concept. Titled Unko Technica, this old-school styled jumping adventure includes a protagonist that is truly a dung striving to navigate to a restroom. As a fun fact, "Unko" means "poop."

How you interact is easy to grasp: press a jump control. Throughout numerous stages, encounter mini-bosses and visit a market to acquire customizations for your dung hero.

Plan your movements carefully, as a wrong move means restarting the level. Jump off floating orbs to hurl your character higher, navigate fragile surfaces, and activate buttons to open new areas. Earn UN-KOINS and use them on tougher levels in which gameplay intensifies.

Visually, the experience shows off eye-catching environments and an amazing background music. Its minimalist graphics with shifting basic polygons may remind players of old favorites like Earthbound.

Although hard to name other games where you control a piece of feces, gaming frequently featured scatological themes. As an illustration, in Death Stranding, you can craft grenades from protagonist waste. Games like Palworld and Ark: Survival Evolved use manure as plant food. And of course, this theme shows up heavily in the South Park RPG The Stick of Truth.

Putting aside its silly premise, Unko Technica has already received notable accolades, such as taking top honors at Bandai Namco's game competition in 2023. This trial version is available at present on Steam, with the full game planned to launch on PC on November 19.
